WHAT ARE HYBRID LENSES ?
Hybrid contact lenses are lenses comprised of a rigid gas permeable lens in the center and a soft contact lens "skirt" surrounding the lens. This can aide in helping the lens center and making them more comfortable.

These lenses can provide much sharper vision than with soft contact lenses, as well as minimizing visual distortions in those with irregular corneas such as keratoconus, corneal transplants, radial keratotomy, corneal scarring, and high astigmatism.
​
These lenses are fit by taking precise measurements of the cornea and ordering an initial pair of lenses which we see how they interact on the eye before making any changes and ordering another pair.
